The heavenly choir gained another angelic soprano on July 1, 2021. Angeline Norris Bean (Angie) was born on November 5, 1938 in Charlotte, NC. Although for the last four years she lived at Brookdale Monroe Square, "home" for Angie was Jamestown, NC. While in Jamestown, she was the co-owner of Bean & Associates and worked at both High Point Bank & the Ragsdale Y. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in High Point where she sang in the choir. She also performed a ministry service by tape recording the weekly Sunday services as well
as weddings, funerals, special events & concerts. She was loved by many neighbors & friends. Angie moved to Monroe four years ago when her Alzheimer's progressed, so she could be closer to family. She was an active member of First Baptist Church – Monroe & made many friends in that short time.
Proceeded in death by her father, Paul Wescott Norris, her mother, Ernestine Dorsey Norris, & her husband of 40+ years, Walter Louis Scott Bean, Jr. she leaves behind many family members & friends. She is survived by her son, Walter Louis "Scott" Bean, III & wife, Jennifer & grandchildren Ky & Conor of Dumfries, VA, and by her daughter, Kimberly Angeline Morgan & husband, Mike, granddaughter Brittany Angeline Austin & husband, Jacob & three precious great grandchildren – Harper Angeline Austin (age 6), Grayson Charles Scott Austin (age 4), & Sophie Louisa Austin (age 2), all of Monroe, NC.
A memorial service/celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 12 at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church – Monroe (109 Morrow Avenue) with a reception/visitation to follow in the Family Life Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
