Mrs. Wanda "Tootsie" Medlin, 76, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 6, 2025 peacefully with her family. She was born December 23, 1948 to the late Lloyd and Annie Helms. Wanda was also preceded in passing by her grandchildren, Rusty James Medlin, and Skylar Alexis Medlin, siblings, Geraldine Morris, Alice Helms, Pete Helms; and her faithful fur baby, ToTo. Wanda was a woman of strong faith and attended church until her health began to fail. She was a very gifted and talented musician and singer. Being strong willed and independent was her strong suit. She will be cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her and missed deeply.

A Remembrance Service will be held from 1:00pm until 1:45pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. The burial will be held privately.

Those left to cherish Wanda's memory are her beloved husband, Larry James Medlin; children, Windy Usher (Jerry), Rusty Medlin (Nicky), Jason Medlin (Tracy), and Robbie Medlin (Mattie); grandchildren, Annie Usher, John Usher, Jessie Hill (Brandon), Katie Davis (Isaac), Justin Hicks, Savannah Homola (Jacob), Mia Medlin, and one grandbaby on the way; 5 great-grandchildren, and her beloved fur babies, Sam, Tucker, Cooper, Sissy, and LittleBit; and numerous other family members and friends.
