We are sad to announce that Vicki Lynn Williams Blackwell, 61, of Monroe, NC, passed

away unexpectedly on April 1, 2023.

Vicki was born on October 21, 1961, to Bob and Jean Williams in Charlotte, NC. In her

childhood, Vicki was the shy, blue-eyed blond haired middle daughter. She attended

Independence High School and graduated in 1980. Later she joined the family business,

Bob Williams Specialty, and became a valued member and co-owner of the company

working alongside her sisters.

Vicki met Bruce Milland Blackwell, her husband and partner in life. They were married

in 2001, but have been together for 31 years. Milland was Vicki's rock, and his

personality perfectly complemented hers. The couple made their home in Monroe.

Vicki will be greatly missed by her husband, friends and family. She is survived by her

brother, Ted Williams (Marcia), her sisters, Janet Stilwell (Tommy) and Pamela

McManus (Darren), her nephew Trevor Williams, niece Courtney Williams and step

daughter Nadia Blackwell. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Neil and

Eldora Jean Williams.

Vicki had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She was a private and quiet

person, but also very witty and loved her family. She was fearless and independent, yet

sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She loved going to concerts, the beach, rock

music and muscle cars. She was strong-willed and determined, but those traits defined

Vicki. They were part of who she was, and we dearly loved her.

A Celebration of Life & Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 15th, 2023 at

Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, 6335 Wilson Grove Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm and the service will be at 2:00 pm.
