Teresa Georgette Manus 67, passed away peacefully in her Oakboro NC home, on Tuesday March 12th, 2024. Teresa was born in 1957 to Kirby and Dorothy Mullis, she spent her younger life working at Holly farms in Monroe NC and being a caregiver to many people including family. Teresa spent most of her time being a homemaker with her late husband David Manus and her adopted daughter Farrah Manus. Teresa's heart was her family, she was a wonderful wife, mother and stepmother, her grandkids were her world. Teresa wanted to be surrounded by the ones she loved all the time. She never met a stranger. She was a God Lovin' woman who loved to listen and sing gospel music. She spent a lot of her time in her garden growing vegetables of all sorts and sharing the crop with all those around her. She was a very hospitable woman who would have you a cup of coffee ready in the morning and ready to sit in her rocking chair on the front porch ready to immerse herself in conversation. She was the stitch you got in your side from laughing so much and the "Teresa what did you do now?" All around Teresa was love, laughter, and a sense of belonging no matter who you were. There is a silence where you once heard her voice, but if you listen closely, you can hear her singing praises to our Lord as she rejoices in her now heavenly home.

Teresa is predeceased by her father, Kirby Mullis, Mother, Dorothy Mullis, husband, David Manus, sister Louise Price, Stepson Dale Manus, Step grandson Dusty Manus, Grandson Jesco Hensley, Sister n' law Lois Manus Trull, Sister N' law Carolyn Manus Squires, Brother N' law Larry Manus, Brother N' law Roger Manus and Brother N' law Bear Barrier.

Teresa is survived by Son Bryan Manus, Daughter Crystal Hensley, Daughter Carolyn Vick (Chris), Daughter, Cindy Medlin (Ken), Daughter, Angelia Wilson (David),  Daughter, Charlotte Ross, and Daughter, Farrah Manus;  Grand Children, Ava Ball, Kayla Beaumont, Iszabella Kelly, Liam Vick, Edward Kelly and Elaina Manus, Billy, Jami, Brittany, Shelli, Alex, Marti, Peyton, and Brandi. Great Grandchildren Tyler, Ashlynn, Jordyn, Brooklynn, Jaydyn, Seth, Landon, Paisley, Anessia, Lochlan Aker, Trenton, Tommy, and Rylan. Four sisters, Sylvia Barrier, Lela Crump, Carolyn Helms (Steve), Kim Gordon (Donald) and her brother Stacy Mullis (Tammy). With several Nieces and Nephews.

There will be a great grandchild added to the family in October that Teresa was so excited about.

Also surviving is Teresa's Brother-in-law Randy Manus who resides in the home and in the last few months Teresa's and Farrah's caregiver Randy that continues to take care of Farrah. Randy we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done and continue to do for this family.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 23, 2024 at 11:00am at  Holland Funeral Service at 806 Circle Drive Monroe NC 28112. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service  from 10:00am until 10:45am.  Burial will follow at 12:00pm at Lakeland Memorial Park.
