Tammy Jeanette Dombo Massey, 51, of Marshville, North Carolina, formerly of Yorkville, Ohio, entered into eternal rest on August 19, 2025.
Tammy was the beloved daughter of Jackie Green of Marshville, NC, and the late Joseph Charles Dombo Jr. Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey Massey of Marshville, NC; her daughters, Shemita Massey of Charlotte, NC, and Geneva Massey of Marshville, NC; and her sisters, Roxanne Dombo (Doug Fletcher) of Flushing, OH, Nicole Byrum (Adrian Byrum) of Rock Hill, SC, and Roxann Tharp (Late Jim Tharp).
She is also survived by her aunts, Sharon Purr (Late Dick Purr) of Martins Ferry, OH, Pat Wick (Late Gary Wick) of Rayland, OH, and Betty Jo Dombo (Jeff Granger) of Florida; and her uncle, Dave Dombo (Debbie Dombo) of Monroe, NC.
Tammy was the proud grandmother of six: Ka'Liel Massey, Ka'Lani Harris, KiYan Walker, KaMille Walker, Serenity Seegars, and Noah Seegars, and she leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Elsie Green and Joe and Betty Dombo; her aunt, Teresa Dombo; and her uncles, Sam Green and Danny Green.
Born and raised in Yorkville, Ohio, Tammy was a 1992 graduate of Buckeye Local High School and went on to complete her State Certified Nursing Assistant program at Belmont College. She began her career in healthcare at Shadyside Healthcare before moving to North Carolina, where she continued her life of service in customer care. Tammy was known for her warm personality, her ability to connect with others, and her gift for always following up and making people feel remembered.
Tammy lived a life full of love and joy. She enjoyed visiting thrift stores, collecting angels, cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, and spending time outdoors water rafting and fishing. Above all, she cherished her family and friends. She was known for always having her camera or selfie stick ready, capturing countless memories and holding onto photos of everyone she loved.
Tammy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her laughter, kindness, and caring spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
