Sherrie Conner Anthony, 64, of Marshville, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Lincolnton, NC, on October 15, 1959, a daughter of Max Conner and the late Peggy Conner.

She was a High School English Teacher for over 30 years. She loved going to the beach and the mountains, loved her husband, children, and grandchildren. For many years she led ladies retreats for multiple churches at the North Carolina Baptist Assembly at Fort Caswell. She faithfully served alongside her husband in the ministry as First Lady for more than three decades.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the Family Life Center at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Marshville. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Sanctuary with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

In addition to her father, Sherrie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rev. Caroll Anthony, a daughter, Karen Smith (Larry) of Rockingham, five grandchildren, Ryan Phillips (Meredith), Emma Parker, Devin Phillips (Shelby), Drew Parker, Morgan Williams (Tyrese), a brother, Wayne Conner (Renee), two great-grandchildren, Zaiden Williams, Zoey Williams.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Conner, a daughter, Christi Phillips and a granddaughter, Kaylen Phillips.
