Sharon Louise Carver 74, of Polkton, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Sunday October 22, 2023 at Novant Health Hospital in Matthews. Sharon was born on December 15th, 1948 in Evansville, Indiana and lived in Evansville throughout her childhood.

She later moved to various states including Iowa, Kentucky and Missouri before settling in North Carolina in 1983. She spent her days raising her family. She was a wonderful mother and housewife, and not only raised her own children, but also took care of many foster babies until they were adopted.

As her kids were getting older, she joined the workforce and spent several years working as an office manager for a few different dentists in the Charlotte area. She was a master of handling insurance claims, making a dental office run like a fine tuned machine and helped a few dentists start their own practice from the ground up. She took pride in her work and was loved by her coworkers.

Her biggest dream was to be a grandma, and in 1997 her dream came true. She was the proudest grandma, and loved spending time playing with her grandkids. She always kept all of her grandkids close to her heart.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 18 years, Jerry Carver of Polkton, NC; son Todd Osborne (Missy) of Oak Island,NC; daughter Lisa Daniel (Michael) of Monroe, NC; son Daryn Springer (Jamie) of Mesa, AZ; step daughter Donna Carver of Lithia Springs,GA; 9 granddaughters Peyton, Hayden, Madden, Delaney, Haley, Halle, Skylar, Kayla and Racheal; 1 grandson Rylan; and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Opal Henning and by her brother Gary Henning

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.  Mrs. Carver will be laid to rest at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the service.
