The beautiful life of Sara Pettit Gregory came to an end on Thursday, July 11, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Davis Gregory, Jr., a son, John Mark Gregory.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in the Winston Chapel of Holland Funeral Service 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112. A gathering of friends and family will be following the service at the family residence.

She is survived by her son, Lloyd Davis Gregory, III, daughters, Valerie Ann Gregory, Rebecca Gregory Robinson, grandchildren, Byron, Dan, John, Amanda, Davis, John John, Madison, and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Vickie Pennington.

Sara was a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery for over 35 years. She was very passionate about painting with a group of friends for years. She also was an avid reader and a collector of many authors. She was a lover of the life of all animals having adopted many over the years. Sara touched many lives and will be remembered with love.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sara's name to Hospice of Union County 700 West Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28112 or to your local animal shelter.
