Mrs. Sandra Lee Jones Clarke, 76, of Monroe, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023. She was born in Fernandina, Florida on January 31, 1947 to the late John David Jones and Hazel Jones.  Sandra was a graduate of Yulee High School in 1965. She married her beloved husband, Billy Gene Clarke on September 4, 1965.  She was a hard working woman. She worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for Central Saya and Stout Intern. She later went on to retire from Precision Dental Lab. She cherished every moment she was able to spend with her family, and always enjoyed attending her family reunions. Additionally, she loved to go camping, and loved to read and crochet. Because of her faith in Jesus, the family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace in her heavenly home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Love Baptist Church, 707 Deese Road, Monroe, NC 28110. Ms. Clarke will be laid to rest at the church cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10:00am until 10:45am.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband, Billy Gene Clarke, brothers, Harold Jones, and Billy Jones; and sister, Nora Fugitt.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Wayne Clarke, and Kenny Clarke (Michele); grandson, Caleb Reedy, sister, Joan Murphy (David), brothers, Danny Jones (Christie), and Chris Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
