Mary Phinney passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a nearly five-year battle with cancer on Sunday October 15, 2023.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Holland Funeral Service 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112.

She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Don Phinney of Monroe, her son Kevin Phinney and fiancé Marissa Weiss of Charlotte, her mother Johnnie Rorie and sister Ellen Ford of Monroe, her brother Joe Rorie and sister-in-law Karen Rorie of Fort Mill, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Carl and Jeanne Durost of Wilmington Massachusetts, many loving nieces and nephews, and the sweet family dog Boomer.
