Mrs. Martha Garrison Griffin passed away on March 6, 2022 at the age of 100 years old. She was born July 25, 1921 in the home place in which she still resided. Mrs. Griffin was the daughter of the late Roy E. Garrison and Grace Hamilton Garrison. She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Darrell Griffin, Jr., sister, Dorothy G. Kindley, brothers, Robert W. Garrison and Roy H. Garrison, and nieces, Ruth K. Secrest and Nancy G. Simpson. Mrs. Griffin is survived by her daughter-in-law Sharon Allen Griffin, nieces Ann Wray Keziah, Kay K. Killough (Richard), Cathy G. Baker (Rick), and nephew Robert K. Garrison (Phyllis), and many grand nieces and nephews. Mrs. Griffin had been a member of Shiloh Baptist Church since early childhood. She always enjoyed attending her Sunday school class, worship services and was an active member of the Joy Club. She retired from JP Stevens after 28 years of service in the accounting department. Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 11, 2022 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Monroe, N.C. Service will begin at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Brad Kelley and Rev. Ron Hanna officiating. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery. Holland Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
