Mrs. Lynda Spence went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Lynda was born on April 9, 1940, to the late Arther and Bessie Price. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dewey Spence, her son Larry (Teresa) Underwood, two grandchildren, Chris (Kristi) Underwood and Mary Beth Underwood, and two great grandchildren, Lydia and Hannah Underwood, and best friend of many years, Lynn Klingensmith.

Predeceased by her siblings: Bunyan Price, Norman Price, Lena Price Floyd, James Price, Ralph Price, Annie Price Foster, Roena Price Trull, Marlyn Price Stegall, Arther Price Jr.

Lynda will be remembered as a Godly woman who loved her husband and family. She worked for many years in the textile industry, ending her working career with the Union County School Child Nutrition Program. Lynda was a faithful member of Hermon Baptist Church, actively teaching and serving in the church, with a heart for children's ministry. Lynda was a mother to all, even hosting foreign exchange students who adored her. She was famous for her baking, especially her chocolate pound cake. Lynda will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The graveside interment will be held at Price Cemetery at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 16,, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held at Hermon Baptist Church (9713 Lancaster Hwy Waxhaw NC 28173) on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Council on Aging (1401 Skyway Drive Monroe, NC 28110).
