Mrs. Jodi McDonnal Wallace, 63, of Monroe, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024. Jodi was born August 15, 1960, in Fayetteville, NC, a daughter to Sarah Linker McDonnal and the late Jimmie McDonnal. She is also proceeded in death by her daughter, Tarran Celest Courtney and her beloved fur baby, Gruff.

Jodi was deeply loved by family, friends, and her fur babies. She was most loved by her husband of 22 years, Paul.

Her greatest love was helping others. She worked with a veterinarian caring for animals. She helped care for others in their home and worked with the fire department.

Her greatest joy was her garden and her crochet where she built a successful business, Barn Door Crochet. She was a vendor at the Union County Farmers Market for 11 years and had her products in two local Monroe stores. She also taught crochet classes and thoroughly enjoyed her many students.

Jodi would never fail to help a friend, going above and beyond to care for those she loved. She enjoyed nothing more than talking to everyone and would leave them with a smile and a hug.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, son, Trey Courtney (Casey), granddaughter, Tarran Elizabeth Courtney, and her beautiful fur babies, Gabbi and Trixie and countless friends.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday August 10, 2024 at Wingate United Methodist Church 111 Hinson Street Wingate, NC 28174. A celebration of life service will follow the memorial service at Angelene's 1625 suite A Walkup Ave Monroe, NC 28110.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jodi's name to the American Cancer Society 1901 Brunswick Ave #100, Charlotte, NC 28207 or to the Union County Animal Shelter 3340 Presson Rd, Monroe, NC 28112.
