Jennifer Hayes Purser, 48, of Monroe, passed away peacefully in her sleep January 3rd, 2023. She was born in Monroe, North Carolina to Isaac and Barbara Hayes.

She worked at Tabernacle Christian School as the 2nd grade teacher, mini, and varsity cheerleading coach for 20 years. She was currently employed with her husband and son, Jonathan and Jacob, at Purser Electrical. She was known as the rock of the immediate and extended family, always tending to others needs before hers. Jenny was a very active church member at Bible Baptist Tabernacle for more than 20 years. She was a proud Christian, dedicated to her faith.

She loved her family, friends, and pets. She is preceded in death by her father, Isaac Hayes and brother, Johnny Hayes. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Jonathan; three children, Katlynn (Kyle Rape), Jacob (Claire Purser), and Emily; mother, Barbara Hayes; and sister, Susan Helms. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Lucy Purser; and sisters-in-law Melanie Little and Jessica Tucker; along with many, many nieces, and nephews (whom she spoiled rotten). Jenny loved her pets: Prince, Beau, and Luke, caring for them as if they were her own children.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Bible Baptist Tabernacle Church, 2900 Walkup Ave, Monroe, NC 28110. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00pm until 1:45pm prior to the service. Mrs. Purser will be laid to rest at the church cemetery.
