IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mrs. Holly A.
Horvath
January 5, 1955 – January 4, 2024
Holly A. Horvath (68), of Monroe, NC, born January 5, 1955, died of Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's on January 4, 2024. She is spending her 69th birthday with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was born in Pennsville, NJ to Helen and the late John Marshall. Holly graduated from Pennsville high school.
Holly met the love of her life, Bill in 1989 at a Christmas party hosted by a mutual friend. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married October 19, 1991.
In addition to her father, Holly is preceded in passing by her brother, David Marshall.
Holly is survived by her loving husband Bill, her two sons, Rob and Jason Proffitt, daughter Catherine (Edward) LaHaye and four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Katelyn, David and Tyler and great-granddaughter Olive, her mother Helen and brothers Bob and Brett.
Holly was passionate about her role as baker at Wingate University for Aramark, working for the company for 25 years.
Holly was an active member of Love Baptist Church devoting her time and energy to serving the community through meal ministry. She sang on the worship team and was part of Ladies of Love. She faithfully served many church events especially VBS each year.
In spite of it being her every day job, everyone who knew Holly knew how much she loved baking. She would spend countless hours making Christmas cookies each year so her husband could deliver them to all his customers.
We couldn't have asked for a better wife, mother, mee-maw, daughter and sister, and will miss Holly every day. But we know she is with Jesus and no longer in pain.
