Mrs. Howell had a long career at Jones and Presnell in Charlotte as a plant supervisor. After the company closed, she went to work at Alvac in Monroe. She loved all the people she worked with at both jobs. She enjoyed both jobs, but her favorite was being Treasurer for her beloved Turner Presbyterian Church in Monroe for 30+ years. She then attended Calvary Baptist Church and said she felt at home from her first church service there. She loved her Sunday School class members that she got to worship with.
