Mrs.. Doris Yocum Turner, 81, of Monroe, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024. She was born in Newark, NJ and was the daughter of Robert and Ethel Bacorn Yocum.

She leaves a loving husband husband Colie Turner, a sister Joan Hecht (Dennis) a Sister in law Linda Yocum and nieces Lori Ross (Tom) and Linda Ann Bird (Jeff) and a nephew Bobby Yocum (Candace) and several great nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by a brother Robert (Bob)Yocum.

Doris was constantly crocheting and had a Crocheting Blog that was visited by people in over 200 countries. Her patterns and designs were published in national crocheting magazines.

She was a kind loving and talented wife, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, November 7, 2024 in the Winston Chapel of Holland Funeral Service 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112 with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM at the funeral home prior to the service.
