Mrs. Betty Jean Preslar Williams, 84, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Atrium Health Union. Born January 13, 1937 in Anson County, she was the daughter of the late C.B. Preslar and Rose Ann Floyd Preslar. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everette Williams; and sons, Barry Lynn Williams and Karry Devin Williams. She worked with Medical Specialties for many years, served as helpmate to Everette who was a volunteer fireman with Peachland and Polkton fire departments, where he and she enjoyed working the BBQs there. She was a member of the Anson county beekeeper's association. She enjoyed helping Everette with cooking BBQs for family and friends and flounder from beach fishing trips. She and Everette made many trips to the mountains where they would buy apples and other produce to sell after they returned home. Her main calling was cooking cakes, meals, and making sure others were taken care of. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Peachland City Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at the Cemetery. She was married to Everette for 65 years at the time of his passing. She is survived by Brenda and Wayne Puckett whom they considered a daughter and son in law; sister in laws, Frances Williams Davis and Elizabeth Williams Treadaway both of Peachland; neighbors, Tony and Sheri High; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to express a special thanks to her great niece Emily and the nursing staff at Atrium Anson & Union, family and friends for the calls and prayers while Betty was sick.
