Ms. Betty Alexander Griffin, 86, went home to be with her Lord on March 2, 2025 surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Union County, NC on February 17, 1939 to the late Parks Alexander and Kathleen Reedy.

Betty, affectionately known as "Maw Maw" by her family will be remembered for her exceptional kindness and love of others. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her late husband, Ron, so much, and they enjoyed spending time together. She loved going for long rides, and she and Ron would often plan rides across the country. They loved finding a spot by the highway and watching people drive by while eating a biscuit from Bojangles. Betty loved her family dearly, and one of her favorite things to do was to sit under the oak tree and swing. She loved the outdoors and loved to ride around the farm on a Gator. The kids and grandkids still talk about the times they had growing up on the farm with Maw Maw and Paw Paw. Betty loved music and was a wonderful pianist/organist. She played in the church for many years and loved singing in the choir. Maw Maw loved Jesus and passed that loved down to her boys and made sure that church, the Bible, and prayer were central to her life and the life of her family. She looked forward to going home to be with Jesus and her sweet Ron. Her family is comforted knowing that is where she is now, and they are grateful for the promise they have of seeing Maw Maw again.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Steve Griffin (Tammie), Chris Griffin (Ashea); grandchildren, Abby Griffin (Chad), Addison Griffin Moser (Austin), Chloe Griffin, Lanie Griffin Hough (Gabe), Carlie Griffin, Cizzie Griffin; and great-grandson, River Parks Griffin.

In addition to her parents Betty is preceded in passing by her loving husband Ronald Griffin and granddaughter, Bailey MaRhea Griffin.

Celebration of life will be on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 4013 New Town Rd. Waxhaw, NC 28173. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm in the Church Sanctuary. Service will follow at 3:00pm.
