Barbara Ann Watkins, 89, of Monroe, quietly passed away Friday, November 1, 2024, and entered her heavenly home. She was born October 10, 1935, in Union County, a daughter of the late Claudus Harold and Robbie Mae Braswell Smith. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hugh Mac Watkins and a brother, Tommy Smith.

Funeral services will be held from the graveside at 12:30 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Holland Funeral Service 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112.

Mrs. Watkins is survived by a daughter, Tammy Watkins, a son Marty Watkins (Terry), a sister, Carol Plyler, two brothers, Mack Smith (Carolyn), Danny Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was affectionately known to them as Aunt Bob.

She was a gracious, loving woman who was kind to everyone.
