Mrs. Barbara "Bobbie" Staton, 91, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She was born December 16, 1933, to the late John Deese and Etta Deese. Bobbie will be remembered for the love she showed to others. She always put others before herself. Bobbie cherished every family gathering where she was able to cook for her loved ones. She was a woman of strong faith and loved to sing her favorite gospel songs. Bobbie would also sing at church where she was known for her beautiful voice. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 2021 Claude Austin Road, Monroe, NC 28112. Bobbie will be laid to rest at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the service.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 11:00am until 11:45am.

In addition to her parents, Bobbie is preceded in passing by her daughter, Linda Mareth, and son, Joe Griffin.

Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Benton (Kitral), sons, Tex Griffin (Sheila), and Billy Griffin; eighteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, nineteen great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
