Mr. William Auston Neal, 42, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023. He was born June 20, 1981 in Mecklenburg County, son of Randy Boyce Neal and Edith Annette Deputy. He is preceded in death by his uncles, Fred and Jim Deputy, aunts; Freeda Moss, Kate Rathburn, Betty Williamson, Judy Stone and Geneva Buchacker.

Auston never met a stranger. He was a very talented man and there was not much of anything that he could not do. If at all possible, Auston would help anyone that needed help. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to use it. He will be greatly missed by many.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:50 PM on Saturday before the service at the funeral home.

In addition to his parents, Auston is survived by his brother, Stephen Neal, aunts and uncles; Marti & George Pappas, Mary Deputy, Ruth Loeb, Joyce and Hayne Rushing, Dianne and Neal Mills, Tim and Julie Neal, Bill and Libby Neal, and nephew Colby Neal.
