William "Billy" Thomas Batton Jr., 49, passed away peacefully November 9, 2021. He was born September 4, 2021, to Georgia Sutton Batton and the late William Thomas Batton Sr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2021, from 1:00pm until 2:30pm at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. In addition to his mother, Billy is survived by his loving wife of ten years, Taryn Batton; children, Kyle Batton and Jakob Batton; brothers, Derek Batton, and Brandon Batton; four nephews; and many other special family members and friends. Billy was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He had an infectious personality and smile that would light up any room. He was a man that loved his family. Billy treasured the days he was able to pack up in the jeep and take his family camping. The family finds joy and laughter in remembering the times they went camping together, even the time they were forced to hide in their tents from an approaching mama bear and her cub. When Billy wasn't camping with his family, he enjoyed lounging in the house playing video games with his kids and wife. Him and his family were true Carolina Tar Heels fans. Watching all the football games and basketballs games was somewhat tradition in their home. Billy will be truly missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
