William David Turner, 83, went home on November 21, 2021. He was born to Otis and Annie Mae Turner. He is preceded in passing by one brother. We Welcome all for a public viewing from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Holland Funeral Service in Monroe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm from the graveside following the viewing at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his four daughters, Theresa (Steve) Brooks, Cherie (Bobby) Compton, DeAnna (Ron) Vernon, Tonya (Steve) Helms; stepson, Tim (Melissa) Griffin; and stepdaughter, Amy (Tim) Shirlen. He is also survived by his five sisters and two brothers. Then came his greatest joys, his grandchildren, Jeremy, Casey, Clint, Cody, Holly, Aaron, Justin, Brittany, Jeff, Ashley, and Malayna. As well as six great-grandchildren. Bill was known to all as "Mr. Wonderful" and loved to spend his time in the woods hunting.
