Mr. William "Bill" Fox, 74, of Wesley Chapel, NC, passed away on February 19, 2024. He was born to the late William "Bill" and Hazel Penny Fox in Monongalia, WV on November 9, 1949.

Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 12 years, Darlene Haynie Fox; daughter, Marci Ann Fox (John); son, William "Billy" Fox; daughter, Kylie N. Fox (Shane); and grandchildren, Mason, Noah, and Ellie.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in passing by daughter, Amy R. Fox, and sister, Mary Jo Fox-Cernix.

Bill started his law enforcement career on May 3, 1971. He was a West Virginia State Trooper for 27 years. He retired as a 1st Sergeant and was appointed to St. Mary's Correctional Center as Warden on April 1, 1998. He retired from the prison on July 4, 2012, and moved to North Carolina.

During his life he was an avid hunter. He loved deer hunting more than anything, but he also enjoyed turkey and squirrel hunting.

He was a Mason and received his 50-year pin from Middlebourne Masonic Lodge in 2023. He enjoyed being a Shriner and the fellowship at Tyler County Shrine Club and Ohio Valley Shrine Club.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.

A Celebration of Life Event will take place from 3:00pm until 5:0pm on March 2, 2024 at Tyler County Shrine Club in Sistersville, West Virginia.
