Timothy "Wayne" Helms, 37, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was born October 12, 1984, to Charles Wayne Helms Jr. and Melissa "Missy" Morris Smith. Wayne is preceded in passing by his grandfather, Charles Wayne Helms Sr. Service information will be published shortly. In addition to his parents, Wayne is survived by his maternal grandparents, Don and Sue Morris; paternal grandmother, Jenny Helms; aunts, Debbie Wright, Rebecca Hill, Donna Kimbrell, Pam Helms, and Hope Krest; uncle, Paul Helms; and numerous cousins, and many other special family members and friends. Wayne was a loving son, grandson, nephew and friend. He was his mama's heart and as she says her "greatest accomplishment". His biggest fan and lifelong supporter besides his mama was his Mawmaw Morris. The bond between the two was inseparable. He had a bigger than life personality and had an infectious smile that could light up any room. Wayne truly had a heart of gold and was proud to be, as Wayne would say, "raised by the Morris women." He was lovingly known as their "Little Redheaded Rascal." Wayne was also proud of his faith. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at the young age of 10. Wayne's family rest easy knowing that he is finally in the arms of his Lord, and they will see him again someday.
