Mr. Wayne William Arant, 68, passed away January 27, 2021. Wayne was born in Union County, NC on June 15, 1952 to the late George and Eldis Plyler Arant. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church. A service to celebrate Wayne's life will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 1, 2021 at Solid Rock Baptist Church. Wayne will be laid to rest following the service at Lakeland Memorial Park. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Wanda Bivens Arant; sons, Jonathan Arant (Lynnet), Scott Arant; daughter, Jessica Plyler; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Ray Arant (Katherine). George Arant Jr. (Doris), Robert Lee Arant, David Arant (Debbie); and sister, Frances Rorie. In addition to his parents Wayne was preceded in passing by his brother, Roger Arant; sisters, Betty Ann Arant, and Margaret Bess; In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Solid Rock Baptist Church, 2021 Claude Austin Road, Monroe, NC 28112.
