Tommy Glenn Phillips passed away on August 29, 2024. Tommy was a good husband and step-father to his family. He served in the Army for two years in Germany and Holland in the Missile section. When he came home he went into the wood working business building the interior of Banks.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Austin Grove Baptist Church in Marshville, NC.

The service will follow at 3:00 PM in the church cemetery.

He was the son of the late Robert and Minnie Phillips. In addition to his parents he was preceded in passing by his son Tommy Jr.;  brothers Roy Phillips (Jean) and Jack Phillips.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sadie Phillips; step-daughters, Chris Guffey (Jerry) of Monroe, and Penny Helms (Johnny) of Wingate; grandchildren, Cody Helms of Wingate, Cheyanne Helms of Wingate, Carson Guffey of Monroe, and Kaylan Maner (Chris) of Greensboro; and great-grandson Nolan Maner of Greensboro.
