IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mr. Timothy "Tim" Phillip
Schwab
September 19, 1952 – January 26, 2024
Timothy (Tim) Phillip Schwab, age 71, died of heart failure at home with his beloved partner Sybil Shearin on the morning after the Leo full moon with the sun in Aquarius, January 26th. It was a beautiful sunny day in the heart of winter. He passed peacefully in Wingate, NC.
Timothy was born and raised in Elkhart IN. He attended Elkhart High School, graduating in 1970. A child of the 60's, he was forever a free spirit. He loved nature and music. He was intellectual, artistic, and spiritual. He attended some college, but spent his life as an entrepreneur running his own companies. He had a wealth of knowledge of the natural world, and instilled this wisdom in others. He played acoustic guitar, did natural building, and taught his children to recognize constellations on a starry night. He also knew all kinds of species of trees and if they were healthy or diseased.
After many travels, he settled with his ex-wife of 20 years Brenda St. Germain in Matthews NC, where they raised their three children. He ran a successful tree business as a Arborist, and was even contracted by the city of Matthews to make a wooden totem pole that was placed in the downtown area as the city's central art piece. As he grew older, he retired from being in the treetops with his chainsaw and started an IT company as a computer technician. He eventually settled in Wingate NC, with his most recent partner of 12 years Sybil.
He is preceded in death by his parents William (Bill) Schwab & Patricia Schwab, his brothers Michael (Mike) Schwab & Jeff Schwab. He is survived by his sister Leeanne Schwab, and children Amber Schwab, Korah Schwab & Ethan Schwab, along with stepchildren Elexis (Lexi) Schwab & Chase Schwab. He is also survived by five grandchildren. His memory will also be cherished by many friends and extended family.
Our father lived his life with strength, fortitude and wisdom. He was known for his jovial humor and mischievous grin, always with a sparkle in his eyes. He quoted Traveling Wilburys End of The Line song during his last week, which captures his attitude on life and death, "It's Alright." He was saved and said he had "gotten right with God". He told the Chaplin the day before he died that he was not afraid. At the funeral home he looked so peaceful and even happy, slightly smiling, handsome as always until the end with a head full of thick wavy gray and white hair. We trust that eternity opens its arms to welcome him to a place of peace and joy without pain or suffering, free at last.
Holland Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the Schwab family.
