IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mr. Timothy Bruce
Medlin
May 30, 1960 – May 17, 2023
Timothy "Tim" Bruce Medlin, Age 62, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2023, in Monroe, NC.
Tim was born in Charlotte, North Carolina to Clara and Bruce Medlin. He graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1978 and went on to serve two enlistments in the US Navy. He was stationed in Mayport Beach, Florida, where he served on the USS Jonas Ingram. While there, he worked inside the ship's boiler room where he experienced the tough working conditions of that day. Eventually, he went on to become a truck driver and enjoyed his time on the road. Tim loved riding motorcycles, namely Harley Davidsons, and could often be found riding alongside his brother Terry. His first Harley was a 25th Anniversary Special Edition Harley Davidson Sportster. He took great pride in being a Grandpa, something he was really enjoying and looking forward to.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Clara Jane Philbeck and Bruce Osborne Medlin.
He is survived by his former wife and life-long friend Sandy Nagy and their beloved son Scott Medlin. He is also survived by his loving siblings; brother, Terry Medlin of Monroe, NC; sister, Tama Smith and husband Randy, of Matthews, NC. Most importantly, he leaves behind his Grandson who was undoubtedly his pride and joy.
Left to cherish his memory are his many nieces and nephews and their families who will miss their fun- loving "Uncle Timmy." He also leaves behind many friends both near and far.
Tim was known affectionately as "someone who would give you the shirt off of his back" and was always there for a good laugh. He could always be counted on to send a good morning text and help gather the torn wrapping paper at Christmas. If you were really lucky, you got to witness him eat an oyster on the half shell. He was truly one of a kind.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at 2:00pm on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the conclusion of the service.
