Timothy Alan Ecker, 73, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021. He was born December 11, 1947 to the late Claude William Ecker and Rose Eileen Griffin Ecker. A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Ecker's life will be held at 5:00pm on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Life and Legacy Chapel, 6525 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079. Timothy is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Ecker; children, Amy Gould and Timothy Alan Ecker II; siblings, Robert Ecker, Patrick Ecker, Sharon Pangborn, Betty Jo Cook, and Darla Seaman; grandchildren, Amber Ecker and James Ecker; and great-grandchild, Leah Foust Ecker. Timothy was a selfless man. He would give anything to anyone without a single hesitation. Not only was he a selfless man, but he was the most outgoing and friendly man anyone could meet. He would make a friend by just simply having a conversation with a perfect stranger at the store. He loved to conversate about his joys in life with anyone willing to listen. He was also a veteran of the Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War. Timothy had many loves in his life. Firstly, he loved his family. He had a beautiful romance with his wife, Linda, for over 54 years. The two were inseparable. Together they had two wonderful children, Timothy, and Amy. Timothy shared his passions with his family by taking them fishing. Growing up on a lake, Timothy loved to fish. He would look for any excuse to take his boat out, whether that be with his beloved family or just simply his friends. If he was not in the water fishing, he would be in the woods, hunting. Timothy's family will forever hold his memories and values in their hearts. He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Holland Funeral Service is serving the Ecker Family.
