Terry Layne Bradley, 70, of Monroe, NC passed away on October 1, 2024. He was born in Monroe in August of 1954 to James Dovevot Bradley, originally from Whittier, NC and Mary Lee Helms Bradley of Monroe.

Over his lifetime, Terry held jobs in concrete work with locals Bobby Earp and Brent Collins, worked with the maintenance of race horses in Kentucky, did landscaping in Florida, and retired as a custodian with the Union County Public School System with over 16 years of service.

In his younger days, he loved to fish, either in local ponds or at the coast. Then, upon becoming homebound because of health issues, he liked to watch NASCAR and Judge Judy on television, and occasionally go out to eat at Duke's Grill with his caregivers.

Terry was pre-deceased by his father and mother and brother-in-law Parks Clinton Helms. He is survived by a son, John Bradley of Georgia, sisters Barbara Bradley Pressley (Jackie) and Susan Bradley Helms, and brother James Michael Bradley.

A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Lee Park Baptist Church on Saturday, October 19th at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ground 40 Ministries, 1610 Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
