Mr. Talcott "Tuck" Ernest
Chapman
July 22, 1938 – October 10, 2025
Our Beloved Talcott (Tuck) Ernest Chapman, "Poppy" passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 10th, 2025.
Tuck was born in Bar Harbor, Maine, on July 22nd, 1938, to John and Marion Chapman. Tuck was an honest hard-working businessman. He was a kindhearted man of faith and member of Calvery Church. Tuck had a passion for Hot Rods at an early age and built his first automobile, a 1932 Ford Roadster which was featured in Hot Rod magazine. He played hockey in High School, and his competitive spirit served him and his family well in the business world. His love for Hot Rods and classic cars led him to the Automotive industry as a tool distributor. In 1961 he became a full equity dealer with Snap-on Tools Corporation and developed the territory into one of the elite top twenty-five in the nation operating on the coast of northern Maine while living in Elsworth, Maine.
Later he was promoted to Executive Branch Manager and moved his family to Charlotte, N.C, where the family became members of Calvary Church. His work ethic along with sales management skills led him to develop one of the top branches in the country. He retired as an independent Tool Distributor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Karen R. Chapman, whom he adored. His brother, Alan Chapman and wife Lucia. His son Brian Chapman and wife Paula, along with their son's Cameron and Joshua Chapman.
He was Preceded in death by his daughter, Lorriane Kimball.
He is also survived by Lorraine's husband Leigh Kimball, Lorraine's son, Kevin Hawkins and wife, Barbara, and their son, Daniel.
Additionally, the mother of his children, Madelyn L. Chapman. He truly appreciated and loved his blended family.
Stepdaughter's Robin Rice, Rhonda Moreno and husband Willie. Rachelle Killman and husband Jack and Roxanne Williams. Numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate and honor his life will be held on November 1st, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Dr., Monroe, NC 28112 at 3:00pm.
Internment is later in Bar Harbor, Maine.
