Stephen Michael Clark, 28, of Monroe, passed away September 26, 2023. He was born on July 21, 1995, in Allentown, PA, a son to Lisa and Kevin Clark. Stephen is preceded in death by grandfathers, William Clark and Sheldon Wernett, grandmother, Arlene Wernett, great-grandmother, Betty Kuhns.

Stephen graduated from Sun Valley High School in 2013. He enjoyed cooking, basketball, and skate boarding. He was a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Philadelphia Phillies. He loved cats and would spend his last dime to make sure any cat had food. He developed a love of drawing and became very good at it. Was a huge fan of the TV shows, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Family Guy, and The Office. His favorite movie was Shawshank Redemption and loved classic rock and rap music. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people smile.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Saturday, October 7, 2023, in the Holland Funeral Service, Winston Chapel, 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM before the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Waxhaw City Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, Stephen is survived by two sisters, Alyssa and Brianna, his paternal grandmother, Judith Clark, two nephews, Brayden, Declan, one niece, Valerie, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His two best friends, Cody Padilla and Timothy Hyland, were always there for him and his beloved cat, Annabelle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local non-profit cat rescue organization in Stephen's memory.
