Obituary

Scott Martin Lynch passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Scott was a kind and gentle man who brought love and light to all who had the privilege to know him during his far too short time with us. Born on March 4, 1971, in Passaic, NJ, Scott leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure. His beloved wife, Julie Copp Lynch, was his partner in every sense of the word. Their devotion to one another was inspiring and his loss will be felt deeply by Julie and all who loved and admired Scott. Together, they shared a passion for fishing while they began their life as a couple together on Sanibel Island and Scott will be remembered by many for his fantastic fish stories. Scott possessed a profound love for life and held a passion for helping animals including snakes for which he held a special affinity. Scott and Julie spent many peaceful days together hiking and exploring and their passion for adventure was contagious and inspired those close to them. Scott's love for their fur babies began with Julie and Scott's beloved dog Sinnamon and blossomed into a passion for rescuing not only their next dog Goldie but ultimately included Winston, Audi, Koda, and River who Scott loved deeply. They will truly miss their daddy.

Scott's memory will live on in all the lives he touched, notably Julie's son Zachary and daughter-in-law Karissa and their two children Braxton and Adaline, who adored him as Popi. Braxton and Popi shared a special bond, exploring the woods in search of BigFoot, while Adaline cherished the snuggles and love from her Popi. Scott's zany wit and warm heart earned him many friends who will deeply miss him. His sister-in-law Kristen, brothers-in-law Dean and Patrick, and mother-in-law, Sidney (Mama), will always treasure the memories they shared with him. A celebration of Life will be held in January, and we ask that you keep Julie in your prayers as she navigates this difficult time. Scott's memory is a blessing to all who knew him, inspiring us to live life with purpose, passion, and love
