Samuel "Sam" Houston Pressley Jr., 79, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He was born September 5, 1945 in Monroe, North Carolina to the late Samuel Houston Pressley and Sally Mae Medlin Pressley. In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in passing by his loving wife, Carolyn H. Pressley, brothers, Paul Pressley (Peggy), and Burrell Pressley (Carolyn); sister, Rachel Drake (Gene); brother-in-law, Dwayne Hinson; and his great-grandchild, Ryker Younts.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Midway Baptist Church in the Family Life Center, 4615 Olive Branch Rd, Wingate, NC 28174. Mr. Pressley will be laid to rest in the church cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:30pm until 1:45pm.

Sam is survived by his sons, Randy Pressley (Nancy), Darren Pressley (Vicky), and Eric Pressley (Susan); sisters, Mary Nance (Parks), Laura Little, Judy Hinson, and Donna Shaw (Lawrence); grandchildren, Michelle Lewis (Trey), Hannah Pressley (Jack), Amber Younts (Tyler), Ashley Younts (Zach), Evan Pressley (Ashley), and Alex Pressley; great-grandchildren, Pressley, Piper, Raylyn, Paisley, Laikyn, Emma and Rhett; sister-in-law, Judy Helms (Richard); and brother-in-law, Maurice Honeycutt (Edith),
