Mr. Ronald "Buddy" Lane McManus, 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1947 to the late Willie McManus and Pauline Aycoth McManus.

Mr. McManus was a humble man and loyal employee to Charlotte Pipe and Foundry for 43 years. He first worked in the cast iron division and then later became a delivery driver. When he wasn't working he enjoyed his walks in the Mall. He was a loving father and adored spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Chevy man through and through and kept his trucks spotless. He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed fishing and spending time at Carolina Beach with family and his dog Pina.

He is survived by, sister, Sue Elliott, daughters, Beverly Witmore, and Theresa McManus, grandchildren, Adeline Witmore, Camille Witmore, and Michael Smith (fiancé, Kerigan Ollis), and great-grandchild, Paisley Smith; niece, Missy Elliott, and nephews, Lane Elliott, and Wayne Elliott.

In addition to his parents Mr. McManus is preceded in death by, loving wife of 15 years Rhea McManus, and brother in law, Deck Elliott.

A Celebration of Life will be held with Military Honors at 2:00pm on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Faith Baptist Church, 4220 Faith Church Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Five Oaks Rehabilitation and Care Center in Concord, NC nursing staff for their care and kindness during dad's stay with them.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made directly to the family.
