Robert "Clyde", 79 of Monroe, NC and Pasco, WA, passed away on March 1, 2023, at home in his sleep peacefully. He is predeceased by his wife, Gloria Svantonsky.

A Memorial Service will be held with Military Honors at 1:30pm on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Holland Funeral Service. For those unable to attend, the service can be live-streamed via Zoom. The Zoom information will be posted at the end of the obituary.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Dugger and her spouse, James; his grandchildren, Alexis Cheyanne Barton and her spouse, Ryan; and great-grandchild, Dalis Crews; grandson, Gavin James Dugger and his spouse, Alexis and great-grandchildren, Chase Ellis, Liam Dugger, and Coleson Dugger. His niece who cared for him while he was in Washington, Sherrie Barton. Also, his sisters, Carolyn Svatonsky, Fran Allen, Pat Edwards and predeceased sisters, Deanna and Katherine; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Robert was important to so many and he will be greatly missed.

Robert was born to Zelda and Joseph Svantonsky in Washington. He spent some time in Vietnam after high school. He lived in Southern California until he retired from Albertsons and moved to North Carolina where he opened a nursey that he enjoyed for many years. He was such a good husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Rest in peace, Robert, we love you.
