Robert "Duckie" Lang Duckworth, 68, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. He was born March 19, 1957, to the late James Robert Duckworth and Lorine Ledford Duckworth. Robert was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a man of many jokes, talents, and useless knowledge. Robert will be remembered for the love he shared with all his family and friends. He had an infectious smile that bring joy to all those he encountered. Robert worked at Piedmont Sand in Pageland, South Carolina where he had many close friends that he worked with daily. He will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Eastwood Forest Baptist Church, 112 Aurora Blvd., Matthews, NC 28105. The family will be receiving friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00pm until 1:45pm.

Robert is preceded in passing by his parents, James Robert Duckworth and Lorine Ledford Duckworth, and brother, Gregory Thomas Duckworth.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 4 years, Teresa Duckworth, sons, Bryan Duckworth, Joseph Duckworth, and Patrick Duckworth; step-daughters, Amber O'Neal (Jason), and Emily Linker (Jesse); grandson, Hunter Mcswain, siblings, Sandra Dale, Kay Bell (Butch), and Paul Ray Duckworth (Catherine); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to all those who have given them prayers and comfort during this difficult time.
