It is with deepest sorrow that we share that Robert "Kyle" Donaldson, 34, our most beloved son, brother, family member and friend passed away suddenly in a tragic car accident on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Those who knew Kyle, even just a little, will always remember his great sense of humor, contagious laugh, and beautiful smile.

Kyle will be missed everyday by his mother, Diane Elliott Donaldson; sisters, Michelle (Robert Craze) Donaldson Wood, and Meghan (Zac) Carter; brother, Patrick (Corianne) Donaldson; and grandparents, Jack, and Shirley Elliott. He was crazy about his nephews, Taylor, Mason, Cash, Holden, and Lincoln, and leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

We know now that Kyle is with his Savior, Jesus; his father, Robert "Bob" Donaldson; and grandparents, Walter, and Jeanette (Martin) Donaldson.

Kyle was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. He was the proud business owner of Reliable Lawns and was passionate about his work. He was an extremely hard worker, loved hiking, and mountain biking. His greatest gift was helping others. It was not unusual for him to stop and help a stranger change a tire, put a stray cow back to pasture, or mow the elderly's lawn for fresh baked cookies. He had a heart of gold, and great compassion for the world's "throwaways."

His most prized possession was not things, but his dog, Bronson, whom he treated as a child. They went everywhere together and were best friends. Bronson still waits by the light post every night for Kyle to come home.

His Celebration of Life Service will be held on his birthday, Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 2:00pm. Services will be held at Central Church, 5301 Sardis Rd., Charlotte, NC in the Family Life Center.
