Obituary

Robert (Bobby) Clarence Moore, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 5, 2021 at 9:45PM. Jeane Tyson Moore, his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, joined him in her eternal home on August 6, 2021 at 9:15 pm. Both Bobby and Jeane passed while being surrounded by their loving family members. Their love story continues now in their heavenly home. The family will receive family and friends at Weddington United Methodist Church on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 1:00PM with a home going celebration to follow at 2:00PM. The service will be officiated by Reverend Dr. Terry Moore and Pastor Ed Briggs. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe. Bobby was born on January 16, 1942, in Mecklenburg County to Robert Clarence Moore and Sarah Alice Adcock Moore. He retired from the Union County School System after many dedicated years of service. He loved being on his mower, camping, fishing, the Green Bay Packers, Dale Earnhardt, his '57 Chevy, Rocky River Springs Fish Camp and spending time with his family. Jeane was born on December 11, 1941, in Union County to J.D. Tyson and Sallie Melinda Whitley Tyson. She retired as the business owner of Mac's Classic Cars, Inc. She loved her kids and grandkids more than anything and they were truly the center of her being. They are survived by daughters Patricia Godwin, Teri Bunch (Rick), Robin Kirkley (Alec Brown), Andi Knowles and son Scott Moore (Melissa, 'Pety'); grandchildren Kenzie Keel (Kevin), Kaitlin Godwin (Jason), Kassie Washausen (Kevin), Jennifer Reynolds (Brenden), Josh Bolick, Miranda Kirkley (Alex), Nick Kirkley (Summer), Kristy Penland (Will), Charlie Love (Lauren), Alex Moore; 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters Jan Warren and Edith Hunter. They were preceded in death by their parents, grandson William Michael Dunster, great-granddaughter Kylie Marie Keel, sons-in-law Ken Godwin, James Kirkley, and Thomas Knowles; brothers Harold Tyson and Don Moore and long-time friend Willie Mac Helms. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Hospice of Charlotte. Holland Funeral Service of Monroe is serving the family.
