Robert "Bob" Boyce Hildreth, 85, of Polkton, NC, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021.
Bob was born in Anson county on August 1st, 1935 to the late William and Emma Hildreth.
He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Connie Knight (Charles); granddaughters, April Bess (Jarrod), Lauren Knight; Great grandchildren, Noah Knight, Brynlee and Brystol Bess; sister, Cora "Teane" Falk and many nieces and nephews that he treated as his own. Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Hildreth; brothers, Pete Furr, Ed Hildreth; sisters, Beatrice Haire, Beulah Hudson, and Lois Ragland.
He was most proud of his title, "Paw Paw Dad" and would do anything for his grand babies.
Bob proudly served his country in the Air Force as an Air Policeman. After his service, he returned home and joined the Charlotte City Police and later became Assistant Police Chief of Pineville. Bob retired from Brown Creek Corrections as Sargent, as well as Anson County Hospital.
A visitation will be held from 2:00pm until 3:00pm on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Polkton Baptist Church, 305 Polk St Polkton, NC 28135. Funeral services to follow at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Polkton Baptist Church.
