Robert "Andy" Barber, 71, went to his heavenly home on Friday, November 10, 2023. He was born June 2, 1952, to the late Robert Hamilton Barber and Norma Grier Barber. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Andy proudly served in the Air National Guard as a C130 mechanic. Andy was an avid fisherman and loved going with his family and friends to the Outer Banks. He was deeply rooted within the Jeep industry as a former owner and operator of Carolina AMC Jeep Inc. Additionally, he enjoyed trail riding and modifying his Jeeps. Andy could often be seen riding around town in his Jeep with his baby dog, Layla. He loved to cook and cherished those times with his family. Andy was such a rare bird and could never be replaced. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 12:00pm until 2:00pm on Monday, November 13, 2023 at South Brook Church, 5607 Weddington Road, Weddington, NC 28104.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 38 years, Susan Barber; children, Traci Barber Cooke (Randy Cooke), and Arland York; grandchildren, Tanner Andrew Cowick (Nicole), Eily York-Jeffers (Izic), Hadley York, Wheatley York, and Reagan Cowick; great-grandson, Brantley Andrew Cowick; and numerous other family members and friends.

The family requests instead of cut flowers, please consider sending a potted plant that can be planted in his memory.
