Ricky Gerald Barnhill, 80, of Wadesboro, North Carolina, passed away December 08, 2024. He was born April 9, 1944, to the late Dudley Barnhill and Glennie Mae Ratliff.

Mr. Barnhill was a man of many talents. He was a carpenter, lifeguard, horse trainer, surveyor, small engine repair mechanic and a proud Navy vet to name a few. Mr. Barnhill enjoyed fishing and camping as well as spending time with his family and animals. Watching westerns, racing, and football were some of his favorite pastimes as well as hanging out at Deese's with friends. Country and Oldies music kept him going while he traveled on one of his many adventures that he enjoyed.

Mr. Barnhill is survived by his brother Ronnie Barnhill, children, Katherine Barnhill (Lucas), Scott Starnes, Jamie Starnes, Ricky Barnhill, Danny Barnhill, and Ricky Hough, grandchildren, Tara Sherrod, Christian Newberry, Allyson Wooten, and Michelle Barnhill, extended family and friends, Sylvia Bell, Doris Arnette, Becky Threadgill, Lisa Threadgill, and Linda and Tommy Carpenter, and his loving companion Mutt Mutt.

A memorial service will be held on Friday December 13, 2024, at 11:00am at Holland Funeral Service located at 806 Circle Drive, Monroe NC 28112.
