Mr. Richard Norton, 77, passed away on Monday January 13, 2025 at Rehabilitation Center of Cheraw after an extended illness.

Born March 3, 1947 in Bennettsville, SC. he was the son of the late Major and Elizabeth Carver Norton.

Richard was retired for many years but he enjoyed fishing and cooking for his family and friends. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; sisters Lillian N. Freeman of Bennettsville, SC, Lois N. McCall of Bennettsville, SC, Judy N. McQueen of Bennettsville, SC, Pauline N. Evans (Larry) of Bennettsville, SC, Joyce N Hughey (Bruce) of Conway, SC, Peggy N. Clark (John Fennell) of Surfside Beach, SC, brother, Curtis Norton of Socastee, SC.

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in passing by his wife Gladys Nolan Norton.

A celebration of life will be held of Sunday January 19, 2025 at 2:00pm at Salem Baptist Church in Bennettsville, South Carolina.
