Mr. Richard Samuel Compton Jr., 61, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022. He was born March 3, 1961 to Richard Samuel Compton Sr. and Patricia Hoenshell Compton. Richard was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and "papa." He loved NASCAR racing and working on cars. Richard was a man who loved helping others, he could fix just about anything. Richard was also the perfect tour guide; he knew all the best places to visit. Richard will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him. The family will have a private gathering at a later date. In addition to his parents, Richard is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sandra Raye Compton; daughter, Jill Compton Bunnell; step-son who he loved like his own, Franklin Lee Taylor Jr. (Brooke); grandchildren, Bella Bunnell, Kelsey Taylor, Nora Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Natalie Taylor, and Ella Taylor; siblings, Pam Stoltz (Chris), Lori Willy (Jeff), Brian Compton (Heidi); nephews, Matthew Stoltz, AJ Willy, and Brian Compton Jr., Brad Crider, Michael McCoy, Brandon McCoy, Sarah Kelly, Courtney Parker, Lexi and Summer, and numerous other family members and friends.
