Randy Dwight Montgomery 64 went to his heavenly home April 26,2022. He was born June 15,1957 in Union County to the late Donald and Myrtle Montgomery. Also proceeded in death his God Parents Don and Faire Plyler, and Sister Lynn Montgomery. Those left to cherish his memories loving wife Sherri Montgomery, Siblings Scott Montgomery (Pam), Doug Montgomery (Alicia)Cheryl Montgomery (Max),Cathy Montgomery, Daughter Carrie Montgomery (Greg), Chris Rowell(Arica), April French(Woody),Billy Donahue(Amber) Grandchildren Shelby, Taylor, Billy, Brooklyn, Sydney, Brennan, Haylee and Haydn, along with many nephews and nieces. Randy served in the Navy for 6 years. This experience gave him appreciation for the world while serving his country. Randy was a dedicated employee for 33 years at Charlotte Pipe. Some benefits of working for this company included the lake property where his family will cherish memories made on his boat. Also the 2:2:3 schedule allowed more time with his family. He was a loyal member of his local AA since 2008. He formed many friendship which in turn became family. He was devoted to helping everyone that was on the same path as his. From coffee to holiday's he was always a phone call away. While fighting cancer courageously he retired early to travel. This included many trips to cheer on his grandkids in FL and locally. He traveled with friends and family to Niagara Falls, Gatlinburg, Disney, Everglades, NC mountain and beaches. He loved life to the fullest. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Corinth Baptist Church. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Holland Funeral Service will be doing Facebook Live at 1:00 PM for those who will not be able to attend. The Facebook Live video will appear on the Holland Funeral Service & Crematory Facebook page beginning at 12:45PM. In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to Sheri Montgomery.
