Ralph "Dan" Daniel Montgomery, 65, passed away February 3, 2025. He was born August 8, 1959 to Shirley Montgomery and the late James Montgomery. Dan was a man of great faith and lover of southern gospel music! Belting out his favorites as he traveled the road and worshipping in sincere earnest his Lord and Savior.

Dan loved and enjoyed his family. Celebrating with his children and grandchildren as they each reached their goals and hit significant milestones When the kids were younger, it would not be uncommon for you to see Dan and all five linked arm and arm skipping and singing "We're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz. One time when this happened in a mall, a woman said to Rebecca, now there goes a man that enjoys his children".

Dan was a businessman who loved his job. He enjoyed a long successful career in sales with Square D/Scneider Electric, receiving many accolades and winning multiple awards.

A celebration of life reception and visitation will be held on Saturday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on February 22nd at the First Church of God at 1930 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio. Funeral service will be at the same location on Monday, February 24 at 11:00 am. With visitation one hour prior to service. A private burial will be at the Memorial Cemetery in Zanesville.

Married to Rebecca Montgomery on August 5, 1988, they enjoyed 36 years as soulmates, best friends and the love of each other's lives. In addition to his beloved wife, Dan is survived by his mother, Shirley Montgomery, children, Dustin Montgomery (Stephanie), Ashley McKibben (Ryan), Allison Kennedy (Kevin Burke), Amanda Maurer (Shane), and Amber Fitzpatrick (Brad); grandchildren, Charlie Montgomery, Judah Montgomery, Daisy Montgomery, Ian McKibben, Carson McKibben, Emma Burke, Mckynlie Maurer, Addie Maurer, Hayden Maurer, Aryanna Maurer, Aaliyah Maurer, Avelyn Maurer, Ashlynne Fitzpatrick, Noah Fitzpatrick, and Cam Fitzpatrick; brothers, Tim Montgomery (Marsha), and Rodney Montgomery (Michelle); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, all of who were very special to Dan.
