Paul Glen Thomas, 84, artist and free spirit, formerly of Pageland, SC, died
December 21. The son of the late Paul and Gladys Davis Thomas of Union County,
he is survived by son Dustin and his wife Morgan, grandchildren Ella and Layla of
Tampa, Florida, and siblings Jerry and Maurice Thomas, Sarah Nash, and the late
Joyce Baker of Union County. A private service will be held later in Tampa. With a
natural born talent and restless spirit, Paul traveled widely during his lifetime--
painting, sailing, and exploring the world around him. He lived at times in Chicago,
California, Florida, Central and South America, and the Dominican Republic. For
the last few years he resided in Pageland where he is continued painting murals
for businesses and churches, pin striping cars, and producing individual art for
business, friends, and relatives. When he could no longer travel, he spent his last
years in the Monroe Rehabilitation Center. His art is his legacy, and he will be
remembered by his many friends and relatives. Condolences may be made at the
Holland's Funeral Home website.
