Orath Ali Zelaya, 21, passed away January 8, 2022. He was born in Union County, North Carolina on December 24, 2000, to Oscar Ali Zelaya and Leticia Carolina Zelaya. Ali is preceded in passing by his grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112. Visitation will be held from 3:00pm until 7:00pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Holland Funeral Service. Mr. Zelaya will be laid to rest at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Leticia Carolina Zelaya (Lloyd Nii); father, Oscar Ali Zelaya (Esmeralda Zelaya); sister, Audrey Oliveth Zelaya; brothers, Oscar Ali Zelaya, Jeff Richardson Zelaya, and Ossier Ali Zelaya; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ali just turned 21 years old and was so excited about life and looking forward to growing up. He was a man who knew the value of family. He loved his family more than anything. He loved spending time with his brothers, whether that meant they were going hiking in the mountains or playing video games together. Ali always tried to be the best role model and brother he could be. He tried to always teach his siblings valuable life lessons and how to be kind. He also loved his mother. Ali was the type of son any mother could only dream of having. He would make sure his mother knew he loved her; he even brought her fresh flowers every week. And his mother loved him. His parents raised him to be kind and respectful and he was exactly that. He was a respected car salesman at Keffer Hyundai in Matthews, NC. He was ranked top in his sales program at the dealership where he worked diligently for nearly seven months. Ali will be truly missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
